Red Box Games human warband

Back in June 2021, the faboulous Red Box Games decided to take a big step in their business. They were going to switched to 3D sculpting and change their business model as far as I understand. For us, what it means was a last production of their current minis and even a reproduction of some oldies, while stock lasted ! They advertised on their facebook page and gave us month to make our purchase. After that period of time there would be no possibility to buy these minis. 

I never had the opportunity before then to buy their minis and decided to take the jump and spend around 400$ !

I made them ship the minis to my place in France to save on shipping fees because I live in Japan and it would have cost an arm to get them to me. I had the opportunuty to go back to my countries for a few days in late November 2022 so I brought them back. This is why I onyl finished them recently.

Here is below the first part of purchase : the Medieval fantasy (mostly) human warband ! i included the the background of my warband as well as the Red Box Games miniature reference and finally how i would play them in game of Frostgrave.

The autumn leaves on the bases are from Green Stuff World : Leaf Litter - Autumn OrangeReference 8436554362646ES.

Sir Edouard De Maisons, intends to reconquer his lands unjustly taken from him after a terrible betrayal and the assassination of his father. He is accompanied by Olek Grund, a loyal dwarf warrior who has sworn to protect him after he could do nothing to protect the Duke De Maisons, Edward's father. His servant, François, is simple-minded but very brave. They grew up together and consider themselves brothers.

The dward will be used as a Knight, Sir Edouard as a captain and François as a man-at-arm.

An exiled enchanter has joined the cause. His security is ensured by two haughty and brutal warriors who were given to him as young men by the inhabitants of the land his magic protects. They hardly speak and when they do, it is merely warcries in the midst of battle. His faithful hobbit servant, Enak Goodwill, is a skilled apothecary with whom he entertains a conflictual but friendly relationship. Some claim their related by blood but the two never confirmed, or infirmed, the information. 

The two barbarians will be exactly that, the enchanter will be a spell caster of course, and the hobbit an apothecary.

Do not mess with this guy.

Simply patterns on the cape reinforce the magical nature of the character.

These valiant soldiers have taken up the cause of their lord. Unfailing and stubborn, their numbers and quality make the difference in battle.

They will be used as infantrymen and men-at-arm.

The bard, the thief and the assassin. These outlaws are no choirboys. They serve Sir Edward for revenge, by opportunism and for money. No one trust them but their resourcefulness is a great asset in the group.

The gob will be used as a thied, the bard as a thug (or a bard) and the crowbowman as a crossbowman...

The vigilantes! Rebels and outlaws, they intend to take revenge on the brutal usurper. Jonatan and Nickas, a father and his son, allied themselves with an old priest who took the arms hoping to make a change.

The priest will probably be used as a thug as i can't expect him to be worth more than that in combat, Jonathan a ranger and Nickas an archer.

Svjanostroir Speaker of the Stars (RBG0068)

A mysterious elf magician follows the group from a distance and never lets himself be approached. He sometimes disappears for days at a time and seems to follow his own plans. However, he has the complete confidence of Sir Edward and constantly intervenes on behalf of the group in case of difficulty. However, the men are suspicious of him and do everything to keep track of him.

He will be a spell caster.
